The NZSO has released their season brochure for 2024 and I’m hard at work finishing up my piece, Speculations on a Rainbow, for the National Youth Orchestra, which will premiere at the Michael Fowler Centre on Friday 5 July.
Tickets for the Wellington concert on 5 July can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
Tickets for the Palmerston North concert on 6 July can be purchased through Ticketek.
You can also sign up as an NZSO+ member for the small fee of $10, and get two free tickets through the NZSO booking platform.
I’m looking forward to spending the week in Wellington for the NYO rehearsals leading up to the premiere. Writing this piece has been a journey to say the least, and I’m excited to hear it brought to life. I have some family and friends travelling to Wellington for the occasion so all in all it should be a memorable week.
