With a passion for all things creative Jessie has developed a versatile musical skill set and works in live music, theatre, composition, vocal arranging and more.
Recent highlights include being contracted by P&O Australia as a piano bar performer on the Pacific Aria and having her collaborative musical theatre project Take Back The Universe selected for a NZ Music Theatre Company Showcase. Last year brought along the first public workshop of Take Back The Universe, held by Red Scare Theatre Company in Wellington. Jessie also travelled to Wellington in late 2018 where orchestral piece the wilds was recorded and performed by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra as part of the Todd Corporation Young Composer Awards.
As a long-time barbershop singer, Jessie makes learning tracks and vocal arrangements for barbershop and a cappella groups, and volunteers as a national coordinator for the secondary school barbershop program Young Singers in Harmony (YSIH). She travels around the country to judge youth competitions, runs workshops and coaching sessions with her quartet and leads the YSIH Committee in organising their annual National Convention.
Jessie graduated from the University of Auckland with First Class Honours in Music Composition.
