Jessie is 20 years old, originally from Nelson and currently studying a Bachelor of Music majoring in Composition at the University of Auckland. She has a range of skills to offer in the realm of music.

Since passing Grade 8 classical piano, being a finalist in the Play it Strange songwriting competition and performing at the Beehive in 2012, her last year at college, her musical successes have only continued to grow.

Highlights of her first year studying in Auckland included being a performer at the Silver Scroll Awards, guest performer at the Auckland University Songwriter of the Year awards, finalist in the Black Diamond song competition, getting radio airplay for her original songs and having several radio interviews.

2014 brought some exciting developments early on, with Jessie being a winner of the ‘Seeds of Success’ competition run by Newstalk ZB and ASB Bank and receiving funding to expand her home studio, and having her original song ‘Vows’ in the Top 10 in the April music charts on The Audience website.

Jessie has made a reputation for herself in Nelson as a singer/pianist, playing at various local venues and events and regularly plays around the region when she is in Nelson on semester breaks.

Now, Jessie is continuing to immerse herself in music, studying hard and working to develop herself as a performer and composer.
